“Art Show and Sale”

Fairfax Coffee House
23 Fairfax Street
Berkeley Springs, WV   25411

Watercolorist, Andrea Burke will have a solo art show featuring steam engine trains from Durbin, WV; Strasburg, PA; and Scranton, PA.  She uses bright colors and a lot of texture – the steam has been particularly fun for her to capture!

Andrea has studied watercolors for the last 13 years from local teachers Anna Hogbin, Bob Wantz, Leia Wood, and Kent Roberts; and from nationally recognized teachers Lynn Ferris, Laurie Goldstein-Warren, Laurie Humble, Karlyn Holman and Sterling Edwards.  She is a Juried member of the Watercolor Society and her work has been featured in the Washington Street Artists Co-op in Charles Town, WV; the Firehouse Gallery and Shop in Berryville,  VA; Art at the Mill in Millwood, VA; The Cumberland Valley Artist Exhibition in  Hagerstown, MD; lots of shows with the Potomac River Artists Guild in Shepherdstown, WV; the Galas in Elkins, WV; and many shows throughout the state with the WV Watercolor Society.

The exhibit will run October 25th thru December 31st.  There will be a “Meet the Artist” Reception on Saturday, November 2nd from 6-8 pm – open to the public!  Come see the show and all that the certified arts community of Berkeley Springs has to offer.

As soon as we are done with upgrading the exterior drainage system, and finish  unpacking and organizing garage and shed, I will GLADLY get back to  painting.  My soul aches for it!!!!

My first solo art show is just around the corner - delivering artwork to the Fairfax Coffee House in Berkeley  Springs on 10/24/13 and then coming back up for "Meet the Artist Reception" on Saturday, November 2nd!  I'll be sending out postcards in the mail, invitations on email, and posting on Facebook in a couple of weeks!  I'm very excited and so grateful for the opportunity!

Went to town today for "Harvest Days" and got some great photos of local scenes to begin painting - I can't  wait!!!

After many very long days starting at break of dawn, we are finished unpacking and moving into the house!  Yay!!!  We still have the garage and shed to finish, but that's not as exciting (for me anyway - I'm sure it is for Jim!)  :-)

We are loving every inch of this home!!!  Here are some photos...
