I'm doing a solo show in Berkeley Springs in November with just steam engine trains! I'm really excited!!! I finished 3 so far....this time using Laurie Goldstein-Warren's palette and techniques. Do you like the difference???? I'm wide open for feedback!!!

I'm so excited! This class begins today at Washington Street Artists Cooperative! Frank's photography looks like oil paintings on canvas! And he is so nice, patient and kind - will be a great teacher to learn from! I bought new Canon Rebel t3i on recommendation of Laurie Goldstein-Warren. I'm a point and shoot gal and just can't figure out what all these settings are for and how they work! The better photographs I take, the better my paintings will be, so bring it on!!! Thank you Frank and Laurie!!!
Beautiful show "What Delights The Eye" was held in spite of the sad news that one of the 3 awesome women participating in the show died unexpectantly earlier this week. Her family graciously brought in her artwork so she could still be part of the show. Amy George will be sorely missed by all of us at the gallery as well as the multitudes of people her love touched. ![]() "George Washington at the Charles Town Heritage Festival" I've been wanting to paint this for awhile, and this is my second attempt - first was way too dark under the tents! I tried to make it all about George, hence the buildings and remainder of people are rather muted. I like George, but I rather miss the brighter buildings after learning to use Laurie's techniques and palette! |
